The woven jewellery not only looks elegant but is handy to maintain just like the mood rings and one should know the mood ring color meanings then only it can compliment to their dresses. There is no issue of discolouring or blackening as in the case of metallic jewels.

Today in this article we have brought for you a beautiful WOVEN NECKLACE and the steps to create it easily at home. So let’s get started!!

Materials Required:
Cardboard
Anchor Thread
Scissors
Blue thread and Needle
Tape
Thick String
Pearls
Scale and pencil

Step 1: Make 9 small, vertical lines with  a scale and a pen or pencil on the edges of the cardboard.
Cut the cardboard on the lines as shown in Pic 2.

Take the thick thread and wrap it around the cardboard passing the thread through each cut. Then paste it’s loose ends with tape at the back of the cardboard.

Step 2: Take a blue coloured Anchor thread of your choice and pass it through the wrapped thread on the cardboard with the help of a needle.
The needle is to be passed alternatively; once going below the thread and once going above the wrapped thread.
Make five such rounds.

Step 3: Then tie a navy blue coloured anchor thread to the first thread and pass it through the wrapped thread.
In the second round with this thread place golden pearls at equal distance. The pearls would get embedded in the necklace.
Same ways repeat the process in the third round.Weave it two more times without the pearls. (See Pic 3)

Step 4: Now take the pink coloured anchor thread and tie it with the second one and weave it through the wrapped thread five times.

Step 5: Repeat Step 3

Step 6: Weave five times through the wrapped thread using yellow coloured anchor thread.

Step 7: Cut the thread at the end and tie a double knot.

Step 8: Cut the wrapped thread using scissors and tie three-three threads together. (See Pic 4)

Step 9: Remove the cardboard and cut the extra threads.

Step 10: Take three long strings of the navy blue anchor thread, clip them on a board and braid them together. Attach this braided string to the weaved necklace with a thread and needle. (See Pic 5)

Step 11: Attach three blue coloured tassels to the necklace.

To make Tassel wrap the blue anchor thread 25 times over a small cardboard. Then pass a smaller anchor thread through the wrap and tie a double knot.

Then cut the other side with scissors and tie a small wire or thread on the upper part of the tassel. (See Pic 6)

Your woven necklace is ready to be teamed with your western dresses. This can be given as a gift to your friends or female family members.
